Dr. VanGiesen specializes in hand care and performs surgery in cases involving the upper extremities and total joint replacement.

Dr. VanGiesen received his medical education and training at Temple University Medical School, and served an internship and residency at York Hospital. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. VanGiesen completed a fellowship in Hand, Microsurgery, Foot and Ankle at Duke University. He is re-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2004. He holds appointments at York and Memorial Hospitals.
