Physical Therapy
To reach maximal improvement following an orthopaedic injury or surgery, physical therapy is often required. We offer a wide range of modern physical therapy equipment and a well-trained, knowledgeable staff.

Each of our therapists has completed an extensive course of study to enable them to evaluate specific problems and design individualized treatment programs to aid in recovery. Two physical therapists on staff hold certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment from the McKenzie Institute for the Spine. Another therapist has taken advanced masters courses from MCP Hahnemann in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation and is certified by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.

The McKenzie Program is a unique treatment program for spine problems. Through comprehensive evaluation and treatment, the McKenzie practitioner educates, encourages and empowers the patient to use self- management skills to control and resolve symptoms and reduce the recurrence and severity of future attacks. The Center has been chosen as the host site in south central Pennsylvania for the McKenzie Study Group. Other therapists at the Center are pursuing this prestigious accreditation.

Med-X
Med-X is part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program in the treatment of the neck and back. The Med-X machines are an especially effective means of isolating, testing, and directly strengthening the muscles of the low back. The goal of Med-X is to improve range of motion, increase muscle strength, decrease pain, and return the patient to more normal functioning.

Our aquatic program is very popular among patients. Pool therapy has proven to be an effective form of therapy. We can accommodate the very acute patient or competitive swimmer. Early weight bearing is made possible and increased mobility with range of motion exercises can be performed post surgically with an aquatic program. Evaluation of the swimming athlete and/or hydrostatic weighing of athletes is available under the supervision of a certified trainer.

In our therapy program, we utilize a team approach that includes the physician, the physical therapist, the physical therapist assistant, and exercise technician to provide each patient with his/her own unique therapy program. Whether the goal is to improve movement, increase strength and endurance, reduce pain, or be better educated in managing a difficult condition, the staff has the expertise necessary to help patients reach their specific goals.

Conditioning Plus Program
Our Conditioning Plus Program is a program designed for the continuation of a current exercise program designed by a physical therapist. In Conditioning Plus, the existing exerciser program is continued without interruption following the completion of your physical therapy sessions. The Conditioning Plus Program is staffed by our team of certified personal trainers.
