Spinal Cord Stimulators
Spinal Cord Stimulators are designed to relieve certain types
of chronic pain. The neurostimulation system works by altering pain
signals before they arrive at the brain. The system is made up of a
generator and leads. The generator is often placed in the upper buttock
region and the leads are placed along the spinal cord. The generator
produces mild electrical pulses which interfere with the pain signals
and replace the pain with a massaging or tingling sensation.
