Billing Policy
As a courtesy to our patients, Orthopaedic & Spine Specialists files all primary insurance claims. Most claims are filed electronically. Patients can expect to receive notification from their insurance within 15 to 30 days. We request payment be made after 30 days. In addition, we file all secondary claims of Medicare. Under Pennsylvania state law, we file all Workmen's Compensation claims to the employer's carrier. If you were injured on the job, please bring the carrier's name, address and claim number to your appointment. You will also be asked to provide your own health insurance information, in the event of a possible claim denial by Workmen's Compensation. If your visit is related to an automobile accident, you must provide the name and address of the automobile insurance carrier-and a claim number-at the time of your visit. You will also be asked to provide your own health insurance information, in the event that the automobile benefits aren't sufficient to cover your care. Our practice accepts cash, checks, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. Please feel free to contact our Patient Accounts department at 717.848.4800 with any questions or concerns. We will make every attempt to assist you with your questions. |
