Call Center Representative
Orthopaedic & Spine Specialists has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to work in our Call Center. As a Call Center Representative, this person will be responsible to efficiently process all patient telephone calls according to the standards established by the Practice (including but not limited to scheduling appointments, routing phone calls, answering general patient questions, verify patient demographic information and update computer system, patient registration, post charges, cases, referrals, and any additional pertinent information, etc).

The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational and time management skills. He or she must be able to prioritize duties and communicate directly with patients, physicians, co-workers, and vendors. Professional telephone etiquette is required along with a friendly and personable attitude. One or more years of relevant medical office experience required. Schedule: Monday 8:00 – 5:30, Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 – 5:30, Wednesday 9:30 – 5:00, Friday 9:00 – 5:00 (40 hours/week).

Certified Athletic Trainer
OSS has an immediate opening for a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer who specializes in prevention, recognition, and treatment of injuries to work with high-profile athletes at contracted at the West York Area School District. Athletic Trainers employed by OSS are not required to work in the clinic during the school year or over the summer break.

BA/BS in Health Sciences, Sports Medicine, Athletic Training or related field is required. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of Athletic Training experience, 3-4 years preferred. Act 34, Act 151, PA state license, and ATC certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. is mandatory to be considered.

Clinical / Medical Assistant (Pain Mgmt)
Full-time position available in the Pain Management clinic at the OSS South/Powder Mill location. Responsibilities: Physical assessment (vitals, patient history, range of motion); Transcription/typing dictation using a template and audit completed templates; Occasionally assist in procedures; Complete consent forms, update meds and phone triage.

1 or more years of relevant clinical medical assisting experience and MA degree required. Must have exceptional oral communication, medical terminology, typing, grammar and spelling skills and be knowledgeable with medical computer software, preferably widows-based programs (through on-the-job training or school).

No evenings, weekends or holidays! Monday – Friday, 8:00–4:30.

Clinical / Medical Assistant
OSS is currently seeking full-time and part-time Clinical Assistants. Full-time opportunities available at the OSS South (Powder Mill Road location) in the Ortho clinic and a part-time position available at the new Gettysburg location. Responsibilities: Assists in examination and treatment of patients using independent clinical judgment; Interviews patients, takes histories, measures vital signs and records/types information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records); Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients; Removes staples and sutures; Assists in applying/removing casts; Prepares and assists with injections; Enters appropriate ICD-9 and CPT codes into PC; Completes necessary paperwork and schedules surgeries and appointments; Educates patients and assists with patient inquiries regarding medication and pre/post-operative treatment.

A minimum of two years of relevant clinical medical assisting experience required, MA degree and ortho experience preferred. Must have exceptional oral communication, medical terminology, typing, grammar and spelling skills and be knowledgeable with medical computer software, preferably widows-based programs (through on-the-job training or school).

Full-time schedule at South York/Powder Mill office: Mon 12-7, Tue 7-5:30, Wed 1-5:30, Thur 8-5:30, Fri 8-5. This person will be supporting a new physician joining OSS in October, however the position is available immediately for training purposes.

Part-time schedule at Gettysburg office will support diffent physicians: Every other Monday 9:30-4:30, Tue 8-4:30, Wed 8-12:30, Thur 1-5:30, Fri off. Training will take place at South York Office.

Clinical Team Lead - LPN
OSS is currently recruiting for an LPN to support a new physician joining the Practice in October. This person will serve as a resource and leader for 1-2 team members including physician in the Ortho Clinic. Responsibilities: Anticipate physician needs to assure for efficient clinical office functioning; Collaborate patient care plans with medical secretary when indicated; Communicates significant clinical issues, consistent with the organizational policies, procedures, guidelines and mission, to the Clinical Supervisor; Oversee the Clinical Team including; work allocation, general performance (efficiency issues), competency and accountability; Participates in new employee orientation, specifically focusing on team specific requirements; Participates in implementation of policies, procedures and protocols for the clinical area as specifically relates to team functions; Accessible to other clinical teams for staffing issues when directed by the Clinical Supervisor; Assures clinical working area (pod) is stocked and efficient; Clinical Duties (in addition to the clinical duties listed under the Clinical Specialist posting) as indicated:Calls post-operative patients: Status check, post-operative appointments etc, Call add-on surgery patients, Verify surgical schedule for week; Assure preparation for next clinical day including: Report Results, Film/Reports, Process Surgeries from previous clinical day, Check on Pre-Op Clearances, Receive / Return Patient Phone Calls, Check emails, Prepare surgical folders for upcoming surgical patients, Add AD appointments for next clinical day schedule. Follow up on ‘prior authorization’ medications, Check E-superbills from day and/or previous day, Check patient histories when applicable.

2-4 years as an LPN in a medical office or orthopaedic hospital experience required. Must have excellent computer and customer service skills and be familiar with medical computer software. Previous experience as a "lead" preferred.

Schedule: Mon 12-7, Tue 6:30-6 (travel time to satellite office included), Wed 8-4:30, Thur 8-1, Fri 7:30-5.

Coding Specialist, CPC
A newly created full-time position is available in the Coding Department for an experienced Certified Professional Coder (CPC from the American Academy of Professional Coders REQUIRED). Must have a minimum of two years of office and surgical coding experience. An Associates Degree in a related field preferred, but not required. Orthopaedic experience a plus. Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00.

Instrument Tech
OSS is seeking a full-time Instrument Tech to work in our Ambulatory Surgical Center. Under the guidance and supervision of the designated Nurse Manager, this individual will support the operation of the OR by sterilizing, cleaning, wrapping, storing and distributing supplies, instruments and equipment used in the care of ASC patients.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
The eligible candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent. The candidate will possess a minimum of two (2) years of full-time, or full-time equivalent of experience as an Instrument Technician in an ambulatory surgical facility or acute care setting.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:00. No evenings, weekends or holidays!

Medical Receptionist-UC
OSS has several part-time (20 hrs/week) positions available for experienced Medical Receptionists to work in our Urgent Care Department (South York/Powder Mill Rd location). Responsibilities: Greet patients & visitors in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner; Verify patient demographic information and update computer system F(Medent); Scan all insurance cards; Collect and verify managed care referrals; Patient registration; Check-out patients; Verify codes; Post charges, cases, referrals, and any additional pertinent information; Issue work and/or gym notes; Schedule appointments; and Reconciliation of daily charges.

1-3 years of reception experience in a medical office performing the duties listed above required. Relevant education preferred in addition to experience. Must have excellent customer service and computer skills and previous medical computer software experience.

Medical Secretary
OSS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Secretary. This part-time position will directly support the Physician and work closely with the clinical team. This person will be responsible for answering patient calls and questions; scheduling and rescheduling appointments and surgeries; maintaining physician’s calendar (arranging a high volume of meetings and depositions in addition to travel, etc.); compose professional letters; complete disability paperwork; transcription; manage pro-times; opening and preparing mail for physician review and other duties as assigned. Must have excellent computer, typing, grammar and medical terminology skills. Certification or Diploma from a Medical Secretarial Program and a minimum or a minimum of 2 years related experience in a medical office required (including experience directly supporting and interacting with a physician or senior level healthcare practitioner).
Schedule: 30 hrs/week. Mon/Wed/Thur/Fri 8:30-2:30 and Tue 11:00 - 5:00 (OR 8:30-3:00 and 10:30 - 5:00 with a 1/2 hour lunch break).

Physical Therapy
Drayer Physical Therapy Institute currently manages the Rehab Operations at OSS. Due to their growth at the OSS facility, they have a need for the following full-time career opportunities:
• PHYSICAL THERAPISTS & HAND THERAPISTS – Responsible for treating patients. Min. requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree from accredited physical/occupational therapy program, licensed eligible by the state & some outpatient experience. Level of position is based on experience & clinical knowledge. (Part-time PT position also available.)
• PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT – Assist the staff therapists in all functions. Minimum requirements are an Associate Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program & licensed eligible by the state. At least one year of experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

X-Ray Technologist
OSS is currently recruiting for a part-time X-Ray Technologist to work in the Gettysburg office. This person must be able to work independently in the X-ray area and assist in the clinic area performing MA duties. Must be registered with the ARRT and have 3 or more years of relevant experience; previous clinical or MA experience preferred.

Schedule: Monday 9:30 – 4:30, Tuesday 8:00 – 4:30, Wednesday 7:30 – 12:30, Thursday 1:00 – 5:00, Friday off. 24 hours/week.
